Course description
Examines the basic electrical properties of neurons and from there identifies determinants of brain development, how neuronal "circuits" are formed and how these neuronal systems enable the processing of sensory information, coordinated movement, adaptation to the environment, and other complex functions (e.g. sleep, sex). Dual listed with ZOO 5280. Prerequisite: ZOO 3115 or equivalent.
