Course description
STEP 1102 helps students interact with UW campus resources, staff, and faculty; learn about resources for academic support and wellness; and explore academic and co-curricular opportunities for students' professional and personal interests. Prerequisite: Freshman or sophomore class standing. Some sections are connected with Living Learning Communities so that students live together and take the class together.
Section information
Participation in the Outdoor Recreation Learning Community required. STEP 1102 is designed to provide skills which equip you to interact with the UW campus resources, staff, and faculty; to learn about tools for academic support and wellness; explore academic and co-curricular opportunities; to incorporate personal talents and passions into major and career selection; and to encourage personal reflection of the many new experiences encountered as a first-year student on campus. This section is for those in the Outdoor Recreation Living Learning Community.
