Course description
This course emphasizes advanced understanding and application of models of rural community practice, for promotion of just practice among diverse client systems. Methods and principles of leadership, supervision, and administration in human service organizations are addressed. Special attention is given to adapting models based on ethical considerations and cultural relevance. Prerequisite: SOWK 5300, 5310.

Emphasizes advanced understanding and application of models of rural community practice for promotion of well-being of client systems. Rurality and diversity/difference will be highlighted in this course. Models taught are appropriate to the social work profession, based on ethical considerations, cultural competency, and the strengths perspective. Prerequisite: SOWK 5600.
