Section information
This course is designed to introduce you to professional and collegiate sports selling, focusing exclusively on ticket sales (B2C), corporate partnerships (B2B), and name image likeness (NIL). It covers background topics, such as ethics, consultative selling, personal branding principles as well as sales concepts like prospecting and making sales calls using the SPIN sales strategy. Unlike many of your courses, however, this course is designed for you to apply the information you learn to various real-life sales situations. It is designed for you to actually become a better salesperson in the sports industry. Therefore, a large portion of the class (and your grade) will be dedicated to class participation and role playing using different selling techniques. At the end of this course, you should feel much more comfortable with your sales and communication abilities. -------------------- Prerequisites: SELL 3310, junior class standing.
