Section information
The central focus of this course is exploring the extent to which utopian thinking has been, and perhaps continues to be, a key element in conversations/controversies about politics and government (hence the course title “GOVERNING Utopia”). Our explorations will be guided by a variety of materials drawn from fiction, films, and some more “academic” material drawn from history, political theory, and public administration theory. This class is open to anyone interested in the subject, and therefore, there are no required prerequisites.
