Course description
Examines fundamental perspectives of existentialist thought, beginning with its roots in Kierkegaard and Nietzsche. Looks at a large variety of existentialist perspectives presented by Sartre, Heidegger, Buber, Jaspers and Camus. Considers the relation of Husserl's phenomenological method to existentialism. Prerequisite: 3 hours of philosophy.
