Course description
This course introduces veterinary epidemiology concepts and methods, focusing on disease prevention and quantitative reasoning. Topics include diagnostic testing, study design, surveillance, and outbreak investigation. It's designed for students interested in animal infectious diseases in production and wildlife settings, featuring lectures and hands-on data analysis. Prerequisites: MICR/MOLB/LIFE 2021 (General Microbiology) or LIFE 2022 (Animal Biology), and STAT 2050 (Fundamentals of Statistics) or STAT 2070 (Intro Statistics for the Social Sciences).
