Course description
Utilization of psychotherapy frameworks in the care of individuals, families, and groups. Emphasizing the counseling role and skill development of the advanced practice mental health nurse in the assessment, intervention and evaluation of diverse populations across the lifespan. Issues of ethics, rural practice, and diversity are addressed throughout the course. Prerequisites: NURS 5140 and 5165.
