Course description

Discern critical elements of professional nursing medical-surgical concepts for adults experiencing acute/chronic health alterations progressing to complex health alterations. Focuses on patient safety principles; quality initiatives; evidence-based nursing; information technology; interprofessional collaboration, communication; health promotion strategies; and critical thinking in the planning of client centered nursing care for the adult. Prerequisites: NURS 3745 and completion or concurrent enrollment in NURS 3771, and NURS 4765.
