Course description

An introduction to the fundamental techniques, theory, and application of computational fluid dynamics. Topics include the process for practical CFD problem solving using a commercial CFD software, discretization methods, numerical stability, consistency and convergence, solution techniques (explicit and implicit methods), and verification and validation procedures. Prerequisites: Completion of the ME Success Curriculum AND ((ME 3060 OR ESE 3060) OR (MATH 2250 AND MATH 2310)) AND  ES 2310 AND ES 2330Cross listed with ESE 4461. Dual listed with ME 5461.
