Course description

This seminar introduces graduate students to the profession of history through targeted readings, projects, guest speakers, and workshops. Topics covered include: archival research and source analysis, schools of thought and methodologies used by professional historians, career options in history, college teaching and course design, grant applications, and professional networking. Prerequisite: Graduate standing in History.
