Course description
This course explores the physical and chemical processes that affect magma generation, evolution, eruption, and the formation of volcanic landforms in various tectonic settings. Emphasis is placed on integrating evidence from petrological, geochemical, and geophysical perspectives to interpret volcanic and magmatic systems. The course includes lecture, discussion, and field trip activities. Prerequisites: GEOL 2020 OR instructor permission. Dual Listed: GEOL 4026
