Course description
Explores fundamentals of environmental data analysis including the display and description of data, uncertainty propagation, statistical significance and power, t-tests, ANOVA, time series, serial correlation, multiple regression, and sample collection strategies. Students must enroll in a computer-based lab session and complete a term project involving real-world problems in data analysis. Dual listed with GEOL 5525. Cross listed with ENR 4525. Prerequisites: C or higher in STAT 2050, STAT 2070, or MATH 2200; junior standing; at least one upper-division course in the natural sciences or a related field.
