Course description
Examines scientific principles, biological and geological, that underlie general study of ancient life on Earth. Includes interactions of evolutionary, taphonomic and paleogeographic concepts within various approaches to paleobiology and systematic paleontology. Optional field trip. Prerequisite: GEOL 1100 or LIFE 1000 or 1010.
