Course description

Fundamental principles of investments and practical implications of financial theory. Students acquire a framework for understanding returns on financial assets, risks and returns, fundamentals of portfolio theory, efficient market hypothesis, and asset pricing models. Other topics include financial statement analysis, behavioral finance, and introduction to options and futures. Prerequisites: ACCT 2020; ECON 1010; ECON 1020; FIN 2100; IMGT 2400; MATH 2200 or MATH 2350; MATH 2205 or MATH 2355; STAT 2050 or STAT 2070; COM2.
