Course description

This course addresses the principles and practices of effective assessment for students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties. Topics include purposes of assessment, psychometric properties of high-quality tools, and issues of test administration. Students will learn to identify effective tools, develop informal assessments, and interpret data to design targeted interventions. Prerequisites: Completion of EDCI 5410, EDCI 5415 with a grade of C or better
