Course description

This course will focus on developing practical, hands-on skills to develop custom, discipline specific instrumentation for project and research work. Rapid development and prototyping hardware and software using the global, Arduino-based, open-source hardware and software will be used. Prerequisites: Students must have completed a minimum of six semester hours of upper division coursework in their UW declared major. This course may not be used as a substitute for a required instrumentation course within your study program (e.g. ES 2280 Physical Computing, PHYS 3640 Modern Electronics and Experimental Techniques, etc.).
