Course description

Provides students with a foundation in conceptualizing and working with couple and family systems. Areas to be addressed include the history of couple and family counseling, ethical issues, professional orientation and an introduction to major systems theories. Participants are expected to explore their own family of origin. Prerequisite: admission to program.
