Introduces optical and electroanalytical and separation methods of analysis, emphasizing practical industrial applications. Prerequisites: CHEM 2230.

Credits: 5 This course provides a broad survey of instrumental methods of chemical analysis. The course is structured with lectures focusing on fundamental principles of chemical measurements and signal processing, instrumentation design and components (optical and electronic), techniques and data analysis (statistical and computational). The laboratory component provides a practical hands-on operations and applications of several instrument-based chemical analysis techniques.
