Course description
This course covers the physics and chemistry of aerosol nucleation, growth, and deposition. The role of aerosol in visibility, radiative transfer, cloud microphysics, and human health will all be discussed. You will also learn the experimental methodologies with which aerosol physical and chemical properties are measured. The goal is that by the end of this course is that you are generally knowledgeable about the major concepts related to aerosol science and the key topics to consider when measuring or modeling aerosol particles. Prerequisite: (MATH 2210 , PHYS 1310 , and PHYS 1320) or equivalent.
