Course description
This course is a survey of traditional printmaking techniques. Through demonstrations, studio work, and discussions, students are introduced to the processes of woodcut, etching, lithography and screenprint using hand-drawn and photographic imagery. They learn the conventions and vocabulary of fine art printmaking, its historical significance and contemporary applications. Prerequisite: ART 1005, ART 1110
