Course description
Focuses on laying the foundation for teams and leadership. The topics include skills that will allow cadets to improve their leadership on a personal level and within a team. The courses will prepare cadets for their field training experience where they will be able to put the concepts learned into practice. The purpose is to instill a leadership mindset and to motivate sophomore students to transition from AFROTC cadet to AFROTC officer candidate. Prerequisites: AIR 1010 and AIR 1020 or consent of instructor.

Students must enroll in a laboratory section .................... First semester of one-year series. Facilitates the transition from Air Force ROTC cadet to Air Force ROTC candidate. Features topics such as Air Force heritage, Air Force leaders, introduction to ethics and values, introduction to leadership, group leadership problems and application of communication skills. Leadership laboratory is mandatory for Air Force ROTC cadets and it complements this course by providing cadets with their first opportunity for applied leadership experiences discussed in this class.
